$4 Dollar EASY Craft Project

Like I have said before, the Target dollar spot is amaze-balls!
Got some SUPER cute paper straws for $3 [40 count] and some "Chalk & Kraft Stickers" for $1. I mean the possibilities are endless, right? lol

Put together some cute tags on the paper straws for when we have guests over so they can know which drink is theirs.

First I picked out all the black and white straws [because I have another plan for the gold and silver ones].

Second I grabbed to  TWO chalk stickers and lined them up together. But, do NOT stick them all the way! leave the "back" part of it split.

Third and last I just wrap the "back" part around the straw and slowly just ran my finger around so it would stick good!

This is what the finished product should look like!

I used both the craft stickers and chalk stickers and this is the finished product, something SUPER easy and simple, but it looks so chic and cute!

$2 Valentines Craft

The dollar spot at Target is always a big hit when I go. They have pretty neat and cheap crafty supplies and thing-a-magigs.

Valentines day is next month and I'm sure you have all seen the cards and chocolates all over the place! Well, lucky for me, the dollar spot now how Valentine Day-ish crafts and activities. I picked up a few things and from those things were these neat burlap chalk tags, which were only a buck! They also had the chalk marker which was also a buck and grabbed some of those too.

I made this small cutesy LOVE sign from the tags and chalk marker I bought.

First you take the string off the tags.
Then I wrote the L O V E with the chalk marker. Make sure you shake it real well or it will look a little transparent!

With the same string I took off the tags, I grabbed some glue and attached the to string by folding the top down. Added a few knots in between the letters just because.

And VOILA! a cute little 2 dollar sign that says LOVE! perfect for decorating my apartment for Valentine's Day.

IPSY JANUARY 2015: FRESH START

Their theme this month was a fresh start, being the 1st month of the year and you know "new year new me"

The Packaging: Pink bubbly goodness

The Card: Fresh Start theme and cute-sy way of displaying it.

The Bag: 2 diff. colors, textures and its kind of cute. lol

What's inside?

1. Coastal Scents: Liquid eye liner
2. Hey Honey: take it off! exfoliating honey peel off mask
3. La Fresh Eco-Beauty: Be Good. Good Day. Day Moisturizer
4. Velvet 59: Velvet Rose Lipgloss in Noisette
5. Pacifica: Natural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow in Ethereal

My Opinion:

1. Eyeliner: I like the tip of the eyeliner because you can create a thick or thin line. Unfortunately for me, it was a bit runny and watery.
2. Mask: It smells pretty good, it is a clear mask,so applying it on is kind of tricky because you don't know if you missed a spot, it feel like putting glue on your hand and let it dry, but for YOUR FACE!
3. Day Moisturizer: It goes on pretty good, and it is NOT greasy when applied, which I love, BUT IT SMELLS SO BAD!
5. Lip Gloss: HUGE MISS! It's sticky and SUPER sheer. The bit of tint it has is like the exact color of my lips. I cant talk with it on because my lips stick together. :(
6. Eye Shadow:  The eye shadow is real sheer, cute for highlighting the brow bone and possibly could be used as face highlighter.

Here is swatch on the eye shadow, eye liner, and lip-gloss.

In conclusion this months bag was sort of a miss. Hope next month is better!

DIY Date Passport & Date Ideas

Date Passport & Date Ideas
My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 4 years. We always like to eat, drink, and explore new things! Sometimes it seems like we go somewhere to eat and go "I'll have the usual" or "Haven't we been there already? 3 times? in the last month?" Now don't get me wrong I love going to my usual spots [COZY CORNER DINER in CHICAGO] but I also like to explore new areas. Also, I want to stop saying, "let's go on a date" and it automatically tricks my brain to say, "which restaurant do I want to go to?"
The solution to my problem you say? EASY! Make a date passport. Too cheesy? probably. But this is a great way to STOP spending like 30 minutes deciding on what to do, and great way to check out new things within your vicinity.

MATERIALS: Small notebook [you can also make your own], Markers/Colorful Pens/Stickers, Paper [for writing down ideas], Internet.
All you need to do is do some research first! What do YOU like to do? What does your significant other like to do? Sporting events? Restaurants? Parks? Zoos? Beach? Breweries? Use the paper to write down places and Ideas. They don't have to be actual places, you can just jot down... fly a kite at the park and BOOM fun day at the park date. Personalize the book the way you want it! Mine had some writing on the front so I just put some masking tape and wrote on top it. The last page is our initials and date we started dating.
Where to else to research?

Simple Canvas Projects

I have made MANY canvas painting in my life, some I love, some I cover with paint immediately after I paint them! [LOL] If you have an empty space or if you simply want to brighten your room with a little sparkle or hint of color, canvas art is a MUST! it's so easy to do!

First you get your materials, DUH!
A canvas, or many what ever you want. @ any craft store, they usually have good deals at all, either 50% off or BOGO. Also, get some paint, acrylic works fine, doesn't have to be expensive, I always get those .97 ones and they actually work just as good as those other brands. Third, get some brushes, also could be any type, doesn't have to be those super expensive ones either!

GET INSPIRATION! ITS OKAY, i repeat, IT IS OKAY to go to pinterest and google some inspiration, That's what those websites are for. I get most of my inspiration on pinterest, but sometimes I google here and there. It is totally okay to copy something or get then idea for a certain canvas and then make it your own with your unique touch!

SOME OF MANY [some are unfinished]

Tribute to CHICAGO!

Google or Pinterest a place near and dear to your heart, or simply where you live. Make it your own, use glue, get dirty. MAKE IT YOURS!! [this is not done yet.]

Take art classes!

I took an art class when I attended college, also there are MANY great art class places that are popping up literally EVERYWHERE! Take one, they are fun, take it with a friend and bring wine for a GREAT time!

RANDOMS & STENCIL

I used a stencil for the pattern at the bottom, and to be honest just paint anything you like, if you see a symbol, a heart, a music note, a flower, honestly anything as the focus of it, USE IT!!!! It will be great promise. [U see my jewelry box there? nice huh?]

MORE INSPIRATION! Use paper and google pictures. seriously these both are from pinterest post I had seen, and I decided to execute!

Whatever it is you decide to do, make sure you have FUN with it! Relax and get to painting. :)

SEPHORA HAUL!

Hello!
As you all know Friday was VALENTINES DAY! and well this lucky girl didn't get any flowers or chocolates from my valentine. [besides the Hershey kiss that my daddy got me] LUCKY?! [Bet you are all like how are you lucky? if you didn't get anything?] WELL LET ME TELL YOU!

I went to this magical place called, SEPHORA! and my amazing valentine got me a lil something something from there which of course makes him like one of the best Valentines EVER!

The first thing I got was the INSTANT NAIL POLISH REMOVER FROM SEPHORA. This stuff is so magical and amazing! I dip my finger and twist the bottle and PIZZAZ... Polish-free finger! It really does work, hopefully is doesn't dry out because I remember buying similar one but different brand and it dried out not even within 2 weeks. SO, we shall see but for me, so far changing my polish is a big deal and I give it the A- OK.

Second score was this ANASTASIA BROW-WIZ. Always wanted to try this out because I have seen a lot of youtube personalities use it, I personally use the powder and to be honest I have pretty full eyebrows and don't need much fill in or shaping. I use mostly toward the beginning on my eyebrows because in between getting them done, they tend to get a bit crazy! so I like to keep them tamed. Tried it already twice and its good, you have to really try first because it might take a while for you to get the hang of it and to actually get a line to show. Other than that, it's pretty good!

YES, I got the NAKED3 palette. The hype about it was honestly, ehh. The last colors of the palette are VERY good, the first ones besides the actual first ones are actually sort of, like grainy, or like they sort crumble easily. So caution when using. Other than that, I cannot wait to create looks with these! I will try to post some, promise!

Okay, okay, okay. So this is totally NOT from Sephora. I ran into Target to get some other stuff I needed but of course had to stop into the beauty department. Got this REVLON Colorburt Matte Balm. Which if i do say so myself is pretty darn good. The color is just amazing, it is very high pigmented which makes that color POP! Will be posting pics soon of all, PROMISE!

UPDATE!!!!
PURPLE REVLON LIP LOOK!
